Understanding the competitors in any space is important. Most marketing plans include a section on competitors but in most cases, these competitors are identified from the client's perspective or from known major players in the sector. When it comes to search engines, however, there can be some unusual sites and even specific pages that outrank even the biggest competitors, and knowing what these are is very important. Our report is a non- bias data lead report that simply identifies what ranks for major terms and more importantly what out ranks the campaign site.

Key terms

If you have a list of key terms you are tracking and trying to rank for we can simply roll out a very useful report about who ranks, what kinds of pages are ranking and more. However, we also offer a more lengthy style of report that digs into what the campaign or client site is currently getting impressions for and targeting and then digging deeper into what else is ranking higher. We also do the same for larger competitors to see who is causing them issues or snapping at their heels in terms of position and traffic.

Know Your Unknowns

So many marketing campaigns move forward without really understanding the search space. KPIs around traffic and growth can be met but often missing a huge opportunity with search. If SEO is part of the plan it is often done in a blinkered way that simply doesn't explore what else is out there and just guns for a few top spots.
